I'll just divorce her without explaination to protect her. This is the right thing to do." and instaed go with "I promised my wife an entire life of happiness with me, and I intended to do that. But then I found out I got poisoned and only have 1 year left. What am I gonna do? I feel guilty to my wife for not being able to fulfill my promise. I feel sad that I'm going to die. I start looking back on my life and seeing people I lost. I miss my uncle and my mom. I'm going to tranfer all my properties to my wife. I must defeat our enemies before I die, so my wife can have a peaceful life after. I still don't want to let her go." Like it's so good and realistic. Of course he's gonna feel sad about dying, and not just because the fl, but because it's his life

Dou Zhao and Zhao Zhangru who are Miao Ansu's closest friends and genuinely care about her well being: Song Han has questionable motives. He is good at pretending to be weak and knows how to talk.

I've been suspicious of song han from the beginning. Song mo was treated so terribly by their daddy and all song hand had to say was "don't hurt him, please forgive him. "

I'm not sure that song han is more unhinged than song mo, bc her is far more calculating. Their biggest difference is that song han is selfish and song mo is not. I've seen people that song han's actions in ep26 don't make sense and align with his character, but I disagree. He's been the golden child his whole life, and never seemed to try to speak up for his brother in a meaningful way. I believed he cared about his brother, but nor more than his own ambition. When song yichun tipped him off about the attack on dou zhao, he could have done or said something to them, but didn't. He said enough to his father to make him look like a good person but then stayed his behind inside and out the way.

Song han is paranoid, manipulative, calculating, and obsessed with his identity. He probably knows more about his nominal mother's death than he told song mo. He directly caused his birth mother's death and allowed his father to die. I think learning the truth about his birth pushed him over the edge but he the core was there.

Song han was raised by song yichun and it shows. The propensity for blaming everyone but themselves, the selfishness, the obsession. Song mo was raised by his uncle, jiang meisun, and has his selfless and generally good bottom line. Both brothers are unhinged but the motivations are different. Song han is out for himself, but song mo wants to clear his uncle's name. Even in his first life, at his craziest, song mo still showed kindness. And in this second life, he wants to live for dou zhao. It'll be interesting to see song han's relationship with miao ansu bc she's offering to be a dou zhao in his life, and given the ep28 preview of him choking her out, he's too paranoid to accpet that.

I, for one, and looking forward to how everything resolves.

Yup, he's evil.

But he's also even more unhinged than Song Mo. I think he's genuinely mentally ill.

Not enough to interfere with manipulativeness (his remembering all those bits with Song Mo before claiming he will drown himself is not out of affection but calculating that SM won't let him die, plus he clearly let his dad die of a heart attack in prison) or feel pangs of conscience (he is distraught he inadvertently helped poison the mom) but he is a mess.

He's also inherited daddy's tendency to blame everyone and everything instead of dealing with things.

PS this broke my heart.

Without her, his life really would be so bleak as to be utterly insupportable.

I love song mo sm, but the man is so crazy 😭. Past life he committed patricide, fratricide, and regicide (2x), plus sacked the capital for revenge. When he was going down he took both the emperor' sons with him. This life he was willing to kill dou zhao's whole family over a baby, imprisoned his family in the shrine (twice), nearly cut open a corpse to prove a point, and almost burned his father alive. The only thing tethering him to sanity is dou zhao's pretty smile.

He's not evil and knows and shows goodness, but he's very much willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal.

Gosh Song Han is so scary because he could be a real person. His evilness is basically domestic abuse to Ansu. While you rarely meet Shougu's 5th uncle or Prince Qing in real life, you definitely can meet a Song Han. A guy who acts like he's a victim, that everyone in the world is against him. Who silently pushes your friends and family away from you, isolating you to only depend on him. (In Song Han's case, I believe he 💀 Ansu's brother) Making you doubt your other relationships, sometimes even your own perception of things.

Like, from Ansu's POV, he's this unfortunate guy who's been kind to her, he's never been cruel to her, except those 2 times which he explains as him not being able to control himself, which you know, should have been a 🚩, but we'll leave it first. She sees herself as his only defender against the world. The only one who believes in him. While all this time, he's been using her.

One more point, I think the reason Ansu doesn't see that his behaviors are red flags, is because of her family and how they treated her. We can see from this episode that while she works hard on their business, her parents still see that she's a woman and no matter how hard she works, the business will belong to her brother only because he's a man. They don't value her. Because of this, she starts looking for love from somewhere else, aka Han. The way he treats her makes her feel important, needed, valued, wanted, all the things she lacks from her family. We also have to remember that she doesn't know the whole story like us and Shougu/Song Mo.

He is such a perfect husband. He is happy when the doctor said that Dou Zhao is pregnant but immediately he thinks about the circumstances they are in and puts Dou Zhao's wishes first—This is how it should be! Pregnancy is very risky so by any chance he doesn't want Dou Zhao to go through it if she is unwilling.

SHE'S ALREADY EVEN THOUGHT OF NAMES! These two totally deserve to live together as a loving family and grow old together. I will not be accepting any other ending. If the Poison of Hatred doesn't get cured by Power of Love then what even is the point of naming the poison "hatred". It's all so elementary.
